2 Day Rowing Skills Course
Are you ready to sharpen up those rowing skills? This course is meant for folks who have their own raft and have done some rowing but want to get better at reading water, learn how to row more efficiently, and push their rowing from a class II level into a class IIII level. It is also great for “passengers” who are familiar with the river but want to improve some fundamental rowing skills (maybe in case their captain goes for a swim and they need to take over??) !
This format of this course can be adjusted based on your skills and goals, but some of the topics we will cover include:
Reading water, scouting rapids and decision making
Setting angles to make moves, linking moves
Proper rigging and ergonomics
Efficient oar strokes
Basic safety and rescue skills
How to prepare passengers and/or paddlers in your boat
LOTS of time on the oars - this is how you improve!

This course WILL prepare you to navigate your own boat down class II+ whitewater and allow you to continue building skills to become a competent class III boater.
